My name is Matt Buckskin and I am an officer for the Denver Police Department. Back in January, my 5 year old nephew Connor was severely beaten by his mother and her boyfriend to a point where we weren’t sure if he was going to go blind from the boyfriend grabbing him by the throat and slamming him face first into a brick wall. Since January, my little brother has had full custody of Connor and no criminal charges have been placed as of yet. My brother has been fighting Connor’s battle in the courtroom for six months and is quickly running out of funds to maintain a lawyer to represent Connor. Now, the Larimer County court system wants to return custody to Connor’s mother, who is still involved in a relationship with the same boyfriend. Connor told me that he doesn’t want to go live with his “old mommy” anymore. I am asking in desperation for your generous contribution so that we can get Connor a decent lawyer who will properly represent him in court and make his safety a priority.
